Handel and contemporaries – concert

Dear colleagues, friends, early music admirers,

It is my pleasure to invite you to the concert ‘Handel and Contemporaries’. It will take place on December 16 (Wednesday) at 7.00 p.m. in Bulgaria Chamber Hall (Sofia, ul. Aksakov No. 1). The concert is a veritable musical event – some of the most outstanding early music performers in Bulgaria join each other to perform the Bulgarian premiere of ‘Dixit Dominus’ – a work of the colossus of the Baroque music Georg Friedrich Handel. 308 years after Handel created it, the Bulgarian audience has the chance to hear this enchanting music in live concert performance, for the first time in Bulgaria. The concert will go under the baton of the Bulgarian-born German conductor VICTOR ILIEV. In the concert will take part a number of prominent masters of the baroque performance art including Ivaylo Donkov (The Voice of Bulgaria 2013) and Yanko Marinov (awarded the prize ‘Musician of the Year 2014’ in the category of active creative activity). Among this pleiades of talents is the magnificent cellist Atanas Krastev who, every time when performs, wins the hearts of the European audiences.
