Soul singer Iyeoka: „I am very excited for my concert in Bulgaria”

Iyeoka„I want to be respected”. This is the meaning of the soul and jazz performer’s Iyeoka name in her native language esan, a Nigerian dialect. For a few years now in her project Lyrics For Literacy Iyeoka has been occupied with popularizing and preserving this language. Along with all her lectures and poetic performances, Iyeoka finds time and energy to embark on a spring-summer tour. Iyeoka Ivie Okoawo Iyeoka Ivie Okoawo was born in Boston, Massachusetts, USA and is a first generation Nigerian-American soul and jazz artist. The way she performs is compared to those of Amy Winehouse, Adele, Lauryn Hill and Sade.
